A haven of peace a short distance from Saint-Raphaël. A few kilometres inland, the country of Fayence stretches around the eponymous village in a Provençal setting of pine trees and olive groves. At the top of the hills, eight villages are deploying all their charm: Mons and Callian (labeled characteristic Villages), Fayence, Bagnols-en-forêt, Montauroux, Tanneron, Seillans and Tourettes.
All ancient strongholds, these villages have preserved a rich historical heritage over their steep alleys: chapels, churches, stately doors, large houses, medieval remains…
Perched on a rocky outcrop at 814 m altitude, Mons is a real viewpoint over the blue of the Mediterranean which stretches away in the distance, contrasting with the green and red colours of the massif of the Esterel. At Callian, flowery streets wind around the Castle. The lake Saint-Cassien offers a nice fresh break. This large lake extends over 470 ha, an aquatic paradise, it attracts many holidaymakers to its beaches (we like the beach of the wood of Callian) or its wild creeks. Ideal destination for a family day, guests can enjoy many activities: pedalos, canoeing, paddle, rowing, inflatables, power boats… Saint-Cassien Lake is also particularly appreciated by fishermen who can fish beautiful carp, pike, pikeperch or roaches.
