In the southeastern region of France, at the heart of the Var department, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, lies Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel. What sets this village apart? Its stunning panoramic views over the French Riviera!
In fact, it is situated at an altitude of 250 metres (820 feet) above sea level. As a result, the panoramic views from this small village are unlike any others on the Riviera. You can catch a glimpse of Puget-sur-Argens, Saint-Raphaël, Mont Vinaigre, the Lerins Islands, as well as the Bay of Cannes, the beaches of Nice, Saint-Tropez, the Alps as well as the Esterel corniche.

Explore the trails around the lakes
Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel has plenty of peaceful family-friendly hiking trails. Take a stroll along the Avellan & Saint Cassien lakes with their abundant flora (oaks, pines, rockroses, junipers, pink heathers, brooms), some of which are typical of the Mediterranean. After your lakeside hike, head to the beaches along the shores of the Saint Cassien Lake to relax and enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear water… a must-do during your camping stay! If you prefer a more active pace, we recommend taking a pedal boat or rowing around the lake.
Embark on a journey to explore the village
After admiring the stunning panoramas from the top of Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel, it’s time to explore this lovely provencal village. Visit its 17th-century church, its town centre with its square & covered market, its various fountains & wells. Don’t forget to look at the old houses, built using the red volcanic rocks of the Esterel mountains known as rhyolite. Dive into the village’s unique history, which has developed over time thanks to cork harvesting as well as the use of coal & calcium fluorine mines.
